Beyond The Point
Generally, we assume that what we perceive is in some way binding, true, and therefore real. It defines
our conception of reality and thus shapes our relationship to time and space.
However, if one delves deeper into consciousness, one begins to realize that nothing like a binding point of reference seems to exist in universal space. In other words, we are constantly creating dynamic spaces and realities—whether consciously or unconsciously—which are accordingly arbitrarily malleable and changeable.
Technical Procedure
Through an elaborate creative process spanning time and space, a perfect illusion is achieved, thereby making the fragility of a clear concept of reality, or rather the absence of a point of reference in space, obvious.
From the image section enlarged to the point of complete abstraction, through painted blurring, to the technical realization of classically painted
oil paintings, sensual and aesthetic possibilities are explored.
The final product – reflective acrylic resin glass, the wall shimmering through the gaps of the non-printable white, the enhanced color contrast of the digital print. Perhaps the most astonishing moment in the entire process is the final and unexpected transformation: A precious oil painting, created over months, is printed and translated onto an industrial product in minutes, infinitely reproducible – inevitably leading to the captivating illusion of appearance and reality.
